PLASTIC Y-STRAINERS

 

A Y-Strainer is a type of filtration device designed to remove suspended particles, debris, and sediments from a fluid system, while being made from a thermoplastic for enhanced chemical and thermal resistance. Resistochem’ s Y-Strainer is a high performance, corrosion resistant filtering component used in industrial piping systems to remove debris, particles, and contaminants from process fluids. Constructed from C-PVC, U-PVC, PP or PVDF, this Y-type strainer is designed to handle aggressive chemicals and high-purity applications where metallic components are not suitable. Its robust body and precision-moulded screen chamber provide consistent filtration with minimal pressure drop, protecting downstream equipment such as pumps, valves, and flow meters.

 

A Y-Strainer is a Y shaped pipeline strainer where the body forms a “Y” to allow fluid to pass through a mesh or perforated filter element. They are typically installed in chemical processing, oil & gas treatment, or corrosive fluid systems to protect pumps, valves, meters, and other downstream equipment. They are made from fluoropolymer materials, giving it high resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents, and UV exposure, making it ideal for harsh environments and available in various sizes and pressure ratings, often with a removable straining element for easy cleaning and maintenance.
